Hi, I’m Lizz, a psychospiritual counsellor practising nature-connected therapy.
I have a general belief in spirituality, and psychospiritual therapy encompasses a wide range of therapeutic systems that embrace a spiritual dimension of the human being as fundamental to psychic health and full human development. Psychospiritual therapy uses both psychological and spiritual methods in a holistic and integrated approach to healing and inner growth.
For me, the spiritual aspect is rooted in nature and outdoor spaces. The approach considers a wider world beyond inside - and our internal relationships – it’s a constellation of connections made up of body, mind, soul, and spirit. Our complex relationship with humanity – and the more-than-human. It’s not about using nature as a tool but understanding that we are part of nature, an essential aspect of therapy.
I have a Level 4 diploma in psychospiritual counselling and am a certified IFS Level 1 therapist. My pre-therapy background is in academic neuroscience and psychology research.
As well as private practice with clients of all ages, I currently work with university students and really enjoy working with young adults. I completed my three training placements over two years.
I’ve completed focused training in supporting neurodiverse individuals and am committed to a neuroaffirming practice. I’m also very interested in the role of psychedelic experiences and am happy to help clients explore how these experiences can be integrated into everyday life.
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and hold insurance cover for my practice. I have enhanced DBS clearance.
In nature-based psychospiritual counselling, nature is not just a backdrop; it becomes an active part of the process. The outdoor world can become a space where we explore our embodied experience. In the natural world, we engage with the environment to support you in exploring and deepening your connection to yourself.
I offer all my clients the utmost encouragement on their journey of self-discovery through life’s challenges and their unique set of circumstances. I appreciate that therapy can be very heavy and believe that maintaining a sense of humour, lightness, and relief are also welcome aspects of therapy.

When I’m not working, I am usually outside, wandering in the nearby countryside, foraging or gardening. In the winter, I love a hearty fire, and will be engrossed in reading a book.
I understand how difficult it can be to reach out for support. I will make this as manageable as possible for you. Things can get easier even after that first step.
Please do get in touch with me and we can arrange a free conversation to explore the reasons you are thinking of coming to therapy, whether it could be helpful for you, and whether I am the right therapist to help.
You can contact me using the form, by email at lizz@wildentherapy.co.uk, or by phone on 07352329968
